...because suddenly hibernation season seems to be over. There was a sudden influx of notifications of journals, art and messages in my message box today, all the artists and students have recovered from winter/christmas/new year/school and art submitting - on the day I realized that there are flowers blooming in this silly place! (I come from a place with long winter so: flowers in february?! This place is weeeeird.)

Which is why I'm writing this journal.

I am, of course, one of those silly students who have no life outside of their art projects and essays due for school.

I am also not going to say anything I haven't said in previous journals. (I'll submit something someday, I swear)

So hello! to all my fellows coming out of hibernation, you inspired me to let internet know I am also still alive.

PS - Oh, and to all you who have favorited and watched me during the past couple of months: THANK YOU, because I don't say thank you to ppl who like my stuff enough.

One month later and it's all done!!!!   

It's 11:30 pm and I need to rant somewhere!

For the past 3 weeks I have been working on a portfolio for a university that has consumed my life and now my soul has been submitted to them to be judged. This just happened. And it will remain in their custody until March at which point I will be released in joy or dropped down the void of rejection. And it will be over. I'm not being melodramatic. ( )

I should be relieved and ecstatic! I have a whole month at least to be care free and juvenile and - no that's a lie.

I still have to find a job. I still have to make sure, if I get accepted, I have a place to stay. I still have NO money. And there's another university to apply to.

BUT THEY DON'T ASK FOR A PORTFOLIO so it's all good.

Anyway. Yes, hopefully this means I will be back! Though not this weekend because I have a workshop tomorrow and waffles on sunday......

Yeah, since 2013 is almost I figured it's time to put those pic's into their own folder and put some new stuff up... as newer stuff is generally more interesting. So that will be my project for the next little while: posting some new stuff and actually coloring some of them... A sketch dump from 2013 will probably be posted as a preview to some things that may be coming in the future!

Anyway, still a big thanks to those people who continue to favorite my art. That small trickle of favorites reminds me that I can still come back and not have to completely start again in trying to get views (not that I draw for the views) - we all know how encouraging that little bit of love is!
